This role is a key member of the Dental FP&A team, focused on supporting our growing Software division. The role partners with all facets of the Software division, including Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Product Management. This role is responsible for developing comprehensive budgets, forecasts, reporting, and analytics to support decision-making and execution.
The team operates in a hybrid mode and the position is available as a remote role.
A Day in the Life of a Sr Financial Analyst at Patterson Companies:
- Support the financial planning and reporting processes for the Dental business unit, with a focus on the Software Division.
- Prepare monthly financial results for the Software Division on a timely basis.
- Analyze financial results, issues, and trends in a fast-paced, public company environment, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the organization’s priorities and changing dynamics to provide recommendations to the Dental Leadership Team to support critical business objectives.
- Support the Software Leadership team by answering financial questions and building financial models and reports as requested.
- Partner with Software Leadership team to develop comprehensive budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Utilize knowledge of financial data and data management to develop tools and reporting that more effectively presents financial metrics.
- Identify opportunities for margin expansion and cost savings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Finance or related field
- 4+ years of financial analysis experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in complex systems
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Able to pull and manipulate data and develop reports in multiple environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter, driven to learn and proactively make improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP
- Highly proficient at creating effective financial models and reports
- Experience working in a large, multinational and matrixed organization
- Understanding of business processes and experience in financial reporting and analysis
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
