NeoSystems is looking for a highly qualified candidate to serve as a Workday Adaptive Planning Principal Implementation Consultant. As a senior member of the NeoSystems FP&A team, the Workday Adaptive Planning Principal Implementation Consultant will lead implementation teams assisting customers with transitioning their budgeting activities such as Excel budgets, forecasts, reports, dashboards, or other budgeting and non-budgeting tools, to the Workday Adaptive Planning solution. This position will be part of the NeoSystems consulting team and will provide implementation services under the direction of a Project Manager and the Adaptive Practice Lead, who will provide governance of the implementation, to ensure its success. The Workday Adaptive Planning Principal Implementation Consultant will work with the Project Manager to develop project plans and complete tasks within a specified timeline as outlined by the plan.
Responsibilities
- Implementing budgets, forecasts, and reports within the fullWorkday Adaptive Planning suite
- Analyzing spreadsheet-based financial models across multiple industries and markets, with a primary focus on government contractors
- Consulting with clients on budgeting and planning best practices
- Lead requirements gathering client meetings and generate documentation of the same
- Responding to client support questions and requests via phone and email
- Interacting with our product support team to troubleshoot client problems and resolve client questions
- Reviewing client product feature requests with product management and development
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience implementing Workday Adaptive Planning/Adaptive Insights in a professional services firm
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, MIS or an equivalent field
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience with enterprise planning software and/or financial application software required
- 5-7 years finance/business analysis experience including budgeting and forecasting experience, including expense, personnel, revenue, capital, and balance sheet planning are preferred
- Hands on experience with other budgeting and planning or reporting tools such as Hyperion, TM1/Planning Analytics, Essbase
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership skills and the ability to work with client personnel at all levels within an organization
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, MIS or an equivalent field
- 7-10 years of experience implementing Workday Adaptive Planning/Adaptive Insights in a professional services firm
- Resourcefulness with a can-do results-oriented attitude to challenges and problem solving with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Advanced/Expert Excel knowledge with a skillset focused on modeling, reporting, and data analysis
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
