Responsibilities The successful SE candidate uses a holistic approach to assist with design, development, evaluation and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle. Responsibilities include:
- Assists with generating quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
- Ensures requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods (RVTM).
- Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
- Defines interfaces and brings system elements together to work as a whole and assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
- Develops statements of work (SOWs) for vendor acquisitions
- Participates in design/major milestone reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
- Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
- Supports strategic planning including roadmap and portfolio development and management.
- Integrate activities among multiple internal groups, enterprise services, and mission
- Assist the customer with project management, budget, scheduling, tracking actions, gathering requirements and collecting data across efforts.
- Develops/defines Knowledge Management processes to maintain data within collaboration tools, ensuring legacy data is updated, new information is properly input, data is organized, and data is accurate
- Participates in/facilitates TEMs, develops agendas, records minutes, tracks actions
Qualifications TS/SCI W POLY
Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
BS in Systems Engineering or similar degree/experience;
years of experience in lieu of degree
Demonstrated systems engineering skills focused on requirements analysis and management, and risk management
Demonstrated experience working across multiple technology areas (infrastructure, operational systems, communications systems, etc.);
Experience supporting customer governance processes, including board presentation and documentation preparation;
Experience defining and participating in system integration test
Ability to work across teams and development types (waterfall/agile);
Experience in developing, managing, and maintaining Knowledge Management systems (e.g., SharePoint sites, databases, and internal websites) that can serve as repositories for storing, sharing, and utilizing data
Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skill and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
Desired: Customer domain experience;
Expertise in MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint, Confluence
Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan. Target Salary Range $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
