As our new Senior Air Quality Consultant, you will be part of Arlington’s Air Sciences Group, which is part of Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assisting Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical contributions to our clients in various sectors. This individual must work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, is expected to be proficient in the analysis and communication of information, and must be able to work cooperatively with agencies, organizations, and individuals to guide decision-making.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Estimating emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources
- Experience with air quality permitting and compliance for industrial sources
- Thorough understanding of emission quantification and major source air permitting programs
- Conducting computer modeling of air pollution dispersion
- Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data
- Analyzing pollution control measures
- Conducting air monitoring and indoor air quality analysis
- Preparing air quality permit applications and environmental impact reports
- Critically reviewing and interpreting environmental regulations
- Serving as the technical lead overseeing Consultant-level staff on complex projects
- Maintaining projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations
- Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
- Conducting site visits
- Meeting safety training and workplace safety requirements
Required Qualifications:

- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or science discipline
- 5-8 years of related experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of air quality permitting and compliance across various states
