Accenture Data & AI Security Consultant - Location Negotiable

You’re a creative, analytical problem solver with above-average documentation skills who can speak to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are eager to put your skills to use by helping us inject security at every level of our clients' organizations. The Data & AI Security Consultant plays a pivotal role in implementing and managing solutions to protect our clients from internal and external security threats. The Data Security Consultant should be able to understand, communicate, and implement end-to-end data security capabilities such as:
- Data Protection Strategy and Governance: Help organizations outline a coherent strategy for data protection, including setting up governance models, considering risk management frameworks, and aligning with relevant laws and regulations.
- Data Protection Reporting & Analytics; Insider Threat Integration: Generate reports and analytics on data protection activities and integrate these insights into an organization's broader security measures.
- Secure Data Management: Understand how to handle data securely throughout its lifecycle—from creation and storage to use and deletion.
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Be conversant with DLP technologies and approaches, setting up policies to prevent unauthorized access and sharing of sensitive data.
- Microsoft Security: Familiarity with Microsoft Security technologies, including Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint DLP, and Microsoft 365 Compliance Center.
- Data Classification and Information Rights Management (IRM) / Digital Rights Management (DRM): Facilitate the classification of data based on sensitivity levels and implement IRM/DRM solutions.
- CASB/ZTNA/SASE Data Protection: Familiarity with Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA), and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) for safeguarding data in various environments.
The following areas are also valued and can provide added depth to the role of a Data Security Consultant:
- Data Discovery: Familiarity with cataloging, tagging, and monitoring sensitive data types for enhancing visibility and control.
- Trust Solutions (Privacy): Experience with managing data subject access requests and implementing privacy governance models.
- Data Security Architecture: Understanding how to integrate data protection measures into an architectural framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical lead for client projects.
- Lead junior security analysts while fostering opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve program performance and contribute to operational improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with data protection capabilities.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with general understanding of data security risks and mitigation strategies.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Data Security vendors and solutions focusing on Data Protection.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years). If Associate’s degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Industry-recognized Professional Security Certification preferred (CISSP, CIPP/IT, CRISC).
- Experience with the Big 4 or Global Solution Integrator.
- Knowledge of Data Security vendors and product capabilities.
Compensation: Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, including office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, or Washington.
