As our Chief Digital Officer (CDO), you will:
- Lead the development and execution of citywide digital strategy, ensuring optimization across all digital marketing channels including web, SEO, social media, outbound email and SMS marketing, inbound customer calls and chat, video content, and government television programming.
- Continue to build Denver's brand through digital experiences that are trusted, accessible, equitable, and transparent, positioning the city as a government working for its people.
- As a member of the CIO's executive leadership team, help influence and drive Technology Services' strategies and foundations.
- Serve as a thought leader and executive sponsor of initiatives that drive integrations and expansions of technologies that enhance the city's digital marketing and resident experience profile.
- Provide strategic direction, budget, and personnel oversight for multiple divisions, including Denver Digital Services and the 311 Contact Center.
- Build a highly efficient and capable team of digital and customer service professionals to manage and execute multi-media digital strategies and campaigns that support and promote City & County of Denver services, programs, and initiatives.
- Create and maintain a solid network of strategic partnerships with city leadership, agencies, elected offices, and external stakeholders to guide a unified approach to the City & County of Denver brand narrative and digital marketing practices.
- Oversee scope-of-work and compensation negotiations for outside contractors providing digital advertising and promotional support.
- Lead research and development into new digital tactics, strategies, and platforms while improving current systems and practices.
- Establish key customer experience metrics and manage goals while leading the improvement of the city's customer conversion pipeline.
- In a crisis, lead the strategies and tactics to deliver critical information, retain and build public trust, and combat misinformation, including managing the Joint Information Center during activations of the city's Emergency Operations Center.
About You
We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications:
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of experience managing large information technology teams or complex projects at the type and level of IT Director. One (1) year of management experience must include budget and fiscal oversight responsibility, evaluation of business processes, and policy and decision-making experience with planning and organizing multiple programs, projects, operations, or functions.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: Two (2) years of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
- License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
