Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in Tewksbury, Massachusetts in search of a highly talented Senior Tax Manager specializing in Flow Through taxation.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Tax Manager on the Flow Through team, you will be a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. You will work closely with firm leadership to serve clients, build the business, and have a direct impact on the firm's success. Additionally, you will mentor and coach talented staff, utilizing your expertise to develop their technical and professional skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide various federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients
- Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters for clients ranging from start-up to middle market
- Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and compliance
- Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations to clients
- Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
- Network and build strong relationships to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue
- Support the growth and development of team members through mentoring and counseling
Qualifications:
I. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or similar business degree (required)
- Master's or advanced degree (preferred)
- CPA or JD (required)
II. Experience:
- 8+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
III. License(s)/Certification(s):
- CPA license (required)
- JD (alternative to CPA)
