Reports to: Accounts Payable Manager
Position Overview:
This is an exciting growth role for an intermediate to mid-level accounting professional who wants exposure to a fast-paced business with tremendous opportunity for learning. This role will be responsible for GL report analysis, invoice entry, check runs, reconciliation and reimbursement of expenses and other related accounts payable tasks with regional focus. The successful candidate will get involved in special projects for the AP Manager, Accounting and will be the point person for our Region 2 (West Coast) teams. The position requires a highly conscientious, reliable professional who will be discreet with sensitive information. This is a hybrid office and work from home position, only one day a week in office is required for this role to process payments.
Pay: $27-$29.50/hour
Hybrid Schedule
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Invoice entry for ordinary invoices, including obtaining required approvals
- Coordinate check runs with stakeholder schedules, run aging reports
- Print checks and handle mailing process
- Work in tandem with accounting to determine correct GL coding
- Review T&E reports and enter approved reports into our ERP system
- Monitor and post bank activity and review any transactions hitting our positive pay filter
- Verification of banking information provided for ACH payments
- Other projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. Significant progress toward bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance required.
- Demonstrated advanced ability in word processing and spreadsheet software use, including Microsoft Office products, accounting software, e-mail, etc.
- Ability to work independently and solve routine problems.
- Proficient in data entry and 10-key.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Skill in mathematical computations used in accounting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, strong time management skills.

Additional Abilities Required:
- This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The ability to lift or move up to 5 pounds, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks may also be required.
