Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Nashua, NH
Schedule: In office 3 days/week
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our High Speed Backplane team located in Nashua, NH.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and document the accounting of global capital projects, including appropriate additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, budget revisions, etc.
- Review in-process capital projects with business owners monthly to ensure projects are completed timely and within budget
- Prepare monthly fixed assets reconciliations. Research and resolve variances in a timely manner
- Following corporate policies and internal guidelines, work closely with business owners daily to create proper and consistent asset approval documentation for new capital projects
- Lead ongoing capital tagging initiatives and occasional capital physical inventory counts
- Prepare global weekly, monthly and quarterly corporate capital reporting requests
- Assist in the monthly close of the company’s financial statements, including preparation of supporting schedules
- Assist in the monthly balance sheet forecasting
- Manage monthly freight billings and accruals
- Run weekly spending and commitment reports
- Assist with SOX compliance, including management’s testing effectiveness of internal controls
- Assist in gathering supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests, corporate tax packages and semi-annual hard close process
- Lead or assist with special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 2-4 years related experience
- 2+ years with a national or regional CPA firm and/or commercial company
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific experience
- Strong knowledge and experience with US GAAP and internal controls
- Understanding of Balance Sheet and P&L
- Experience with accounting system Microsoft AX Dynamics a plus
- Microsoft Excel experience at intermediate level with focus on pivot tables, formulas and formatting
- Ability to work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment, prioritize assignments, and multi-task
- Self-motivated individual that is detail oriented and with a strong work ethic
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work effectively on a team
