Overview:
Closet America is seeking a Director of Sales who will lead the entire sales team spanning multiple states. The Director of Sales provides guidance, training/mentorship, sets sales quotas and goals, creates sales plans, analyzes current benchmarks and data, and works side by side with the Territory Sales Managers and field sales managers to build and coach each team. The Director of Sales is knowledgeable of the company’s products and promotions and works closely with the customer, Operations team, and sales staff to ensure a smooth customer process from start to finish.

What You'll Do:
- Conduct interviews for sales managers and representative positions for all markets
- Identify areas of improvement through performance monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Holds sales team accountable to following sales process
- Schedules, organizes, and conducts sales training for all markets
- Manages all Territory Sales Managers and provides support to Field Sales Managers
- Organize agenda for weekly sales meetings
- Communicates updates to sales team regarding schedules, samples, suppliers, paperwork, policies, finance lenders, etc.
- Ensures all sales teams are meeting planned sales goals/quotas
- Sets individual, market, and company sales targets
- Reviews sales commissions and bonus documents for accuracy for each payroll
- Performs ride-along with sales team members when field managers are not available
- Develops sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
- Develop sales plan to open new markets/product lines effectively
- Enhances sales demonstration and kits for existing and new product lines and suppliers
- Develop and communicate streamlined procedures regarding sales software, policies, finance, etc.
What You'll Bring:
- Proficient at managing individuals.
- Strong track record of managing sales team upward of 50 employees
- Strong track record of opening new and product lines
- Strong track record of leading and developing in-home sales teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop high performing sales teams
- Ability to quickly adapt and change based on business needs
- Willingness to travel to all markets
- Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Commitment to high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations
- Demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record
- Knowledge of principles and practices of sales
- Preferred individual has managed a remote sales team
