Job Summary
The Director, Product Solutions works closely with customers and business units from a strategic perspective to identify, develop, and implement initiatives utilizing applications and product portfolios to improve business processes and outcomes, promote the strategic use of information technology, and enable the workforce to use technology as a competitive differentiating tool.
Primary Objectives
- Drive the product and application lifecycle, including understanding priorities and program objectives, business process best practice and requirements, holistic solution design, product evaluations, configuration and execution processes.
- Manage a holistic technology platform to ensure customer interfaces, fulfillment and accounting needs (full Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)) are addressed with the initial system and process design.
- Champion third party products, execution excellence, and active business engagement to manage enterprise technology demand and maximize business effectiveness and outcomes for technology programs.
- Manage, lead, and develop the Product Solutions team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and execute with business and financial leadership a strategic vision to provide insightful and actionable business information used to analyze results, forecast performance, assess competitive positioning, and evaluate strategic opportunities.
- Partner and engage with corporate and operational stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
- Participate with the CIO, other members of IT leadership, and business leaders in the selection of external technical resources to deliver components of new IT platforms as needed.
- Effectively manage programs and projects in terms of scope, resource allocation, changes, timeline, budget, etc.
- Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers and related processes groups.
- Compile and evaluate candidate projects for development into future product design.
- Analyze enterprise technology capabilities to identify priority gaps and opportunities.
- Manage, develop, and guide integration, external vendor and partner management, application support and training needs.
- Drive and define the solutions and product requirements and manage these through the product lifecycle.
- Develop solution and product roadmaps, including product requirements and client feedback/integration into requirements.
- Manage and develop systems that support enterprise scale, agility and effectiveness.
- Provide budgeting leadership to maximize enterprise technical effectiveness.
- Prioritize needs and investments based on enterprise priorities and account sales, relationship needs, client feedback, competitive positioning, and industry research.
- Connect and foster external networking opportunities to deliver valuable insight into other similar professionals’ business practices and technology footprints.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience in directly related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Work Experience
- 8+ years’ progressive software application and/or product solution experience required.
- 5+ years' experience in a technical leadership position required.
- Experience with software design in complex, multi-tasking, real-time highly available systems required.
- Experience with complex software solutions across multiple generations of product required.
- Experience in Agile software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology required.

- Proven ability to drive and shape the technology strategy and capability to deliver complex solutions.
- Skilled in building relationships and successfully articulating and promoting the value of the product solutions function across the organization.
- Strong understanding of the company’s overall strategy and the ability to align projects to identified goals.
- Demonstrated superior ability to recognize and define problems, understand business and system processes, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proven ability to design solutions encompassing dimensional models.
- Analytical skills used to evaluate, understand, and interpret data from internal and client perspectives.
- Ability to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels: Visio, Excel with PowerPivot, Word, Outlook, Access, SharePoint, and PowerPoint: Intermediate level of skill.

The applicable salary range is aligned to one of 5 zones according to a cost of labor index for the geographic location of the role. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include related experience, education and training, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below. Ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone 1: $195,000 - $240,000.
