What You Will Do
Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Acquisition and Process Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will support a team in the development and delivery of analysis and efficiency recommendations in a dynamic client environment. This individual will be responsible for helping to plan and implement various efforts related to identifying areas to enhance contract efficiencies.
This individual will serve as a key point of contact for the analysis and development of acquisition recommendations and will serve in both a lead and support role for a variety of acquisition-related activities. This will include independently managing workload and tasks, as well as ensuring delivery of high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data from a variety of sources (including contract documentation, stakeholder requirements, and invoices) to develop efficiency recommendations that support decision making.
- Analyze various sources of data to identify key insights related to program goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with team to conduct thorough contract reviews to understand client operations and needs and develop strategic recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to develop customized acquisition recommendations and present these recommendations and findings from contract analyses. This includes supporting the entire contract lifecycle from market research activities to source selection and post-award monitoring.
- Collaborate with team to create deliverables that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for improving client’s business and acquisition operations.
- Work successfully as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback.
- Work independently and as a team member on assigned acquisition tasks.
- Assist in business development activities, such as identifying potential client needs and ways Guidehouse can assist, developing proposals and white papers, participating in client and internal account meetings, and more.
What You Will Need
- US Citizenship and the ability to receive a DHS Public Trust Clearance
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- BA/BS degree
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Active DHS Public Trust
- Familiarity with the federal acquisition process and the FAR.
- Experience working in procurement, contracts, supply chain management, transportation, or similar disciplines.
- Experience managing clients in a dynamic federal environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholders where priorities can shift rapidly.
- The ability to identify and define new process improvement opportunities for the program.
- Familiarity with law enforcement organizations or large federal organizations.
