Senior Consultant Writer/Editor
Overview
Softtek Government Solutions Consulting Management Services Division is looking for a Senior Consultant Writer/Editor to join our federal technology services practice. We are looking for a consummate professional to work within our IT Transformation project.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Capture comprehensive policy requirements in collaboration with SMEs and staff
- Support author, revise, editing of policy documents and standard operating procedures
- Review and validate IT service offerings, systems, and processes.
- Review IT workforce planning model for alignment with IT transition.
- Develop IT strategies, recommendations, and communications.
- Identify critical IT workforce gaps based on IT Functional Blueprint
- Produce diagrams, charts, and data visualizations
- Provide subject matter expertise related to Working Capital Fund
- Identify standard set of technology required to enable new IT delivery capabilities.
- Delegated examining authorities
- Support intra-agency succession planning efforts
- Analyze planned activities delegated examining authorities
Soft Skills:
- Ability to use expertise to drive clients to making key decisions regarding ambiguous or undefined requirements
- Ability to change direction and thought process to capture and meet the needs of client
- Ability to work through ambiguous directions to help clients gain clarity needed to identify requirements
- Ability to work across the team in a lead or support capacity to meet task expectations
Required Education
Qualifications/Experience:
- Must have 2 or more years of experience in Information Technology projects.
- Must provide 2 writing samples
- A strong background and relevant experience in federal IT policy is required.
- Preference for candidates with experience public health and/or emergency
- Experience planning IT capability, capacity, and IT transformation
- Experience gathering/eliciting requirements and facilitating group discussions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have an eye for details
- US Citizenship
- Prefer candidates that live within (Washington, DC Metro Area)
- Must be able to work on-site 1 -2 days a week.
