Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant to be based in our Arlington, VA, or Washington, DC office. The Senior Audio-Visual (AV) consultant will join the Technology Solutions Group supporting high-visibility clients while expanding these partnerships and their integrated experience.
The Senior Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant will be responsible for the following items:
- Interact with clients to determine needs, systems requirements, and preliminary project budgets
- Effectively coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team of architects, engineers, and other consultants
- Manage and advance projects from concept through acceptance
- Be responsible for all aspects of AV design
- Provides technical guidance and oversees the development of AV design drawings by Audiovisual Designers
- Select equipment and create AV systems bid specifications
- Meet with AV equipment manufacturers
- Engage in marketing activities such as business development and proposal development when necessary
- Contribute to a leading global firm that provides design, consulting, construction, and management services to clients around the world
Minimum Requirements :
- BA/BS plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications :
- Five (5) years of AV consulting experience
- Be able to support projects in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area
- A college degree in a relevant field is highly preferred
- Experience on large workplace and broadcast projects is a plus
- Working knowledge of AV industry standards and best practices
- AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification is a plus
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of Architectural drawings
- Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
- The ability to write clearly and accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experienced in the operation of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit a plus
