Your Opportunity
We are looking for a talented Senior Project Manager within our water practice in the Chicago market. Our Chicago water team is focused on the planning and engineering design of municipal wastewater infrastructure projects. You will primarily be working on municipal wastewater-related projects through collaboration with a wide range of technical disciplines. The qualified candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships with existing and new clients and managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the water/wastewater market.
Your Key Responsibilities
- You manage a team of design professionals and technicians.
- You mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams.
- You perform business development tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships.
- You assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- You perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned municipal wastewater-related projects through collaboration with a wide range of technical disciplines.
- You develop project management plans for projects; and establish goals and objectives for unique and complex projects.
- You are responsible for successfully establishing projects to achieve budget, schedule, and contractual obligations.
- You conduct and/or coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects.
- You are involved in the project permitting process, which may require meeting with clients, contractors, and reviewing agency personnel.
- You manage projects of varying complexity within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to inspire project teams to higher levels of achievement.
- Experience with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expression of Interests, Statement of Qualifications.
- Strong seller-doer capable of generating work and building and maintaining long-term relationships.
Education and Experience
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years related experience in project management, preferably for municipal wastewater projects.
- Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Illinois.
