The Director - Lease Delivery is accountable for developing vision and strategy to improve on-time delivery of lease construction projects globally. The person in this role will manage a team of Program Managers that drive programs from ideation and strategy formulation, through requirements and execution to achieve business OKRs (Objective and Key Results). This person will also partner closely with the internal and external stakeholders to define the strategy, assess the current state of the processes, identify gaps, and implement controls to improve signal to Data Center delivery cycle.
The Director - Lease Delivery will partner with the Datacenter Operations to establish a rigorous program to ensure that the turned over Datacenters have met the Microsoft standards, and the lessor has complied with and delivered their technical commitments.
Successful candidates will have organizational skills, experience leading culture and change management. This role requires someone who has a strategic mindset with an understanding of datacenter infrastructure & operational processes. Collaboration, influencing without authority and adaptability across a wide group of stakeholders from senior leaders to individual contributors and support staff are core competencies essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support in executing programs and projects, aligned with business objectives and priorities.
- Drive accountability for decisions and deliverables with stakeholders to ensure successful development and deployment of construction delivery improvement programs.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine the organization's lease delivery strategy, ensuring alignment with capacity roadmaps and business objectives.
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), leveraging data-driven insights to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Technical Program Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
- Utilize program management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and monitor initiatives, programs, and projects.
- Effectively and regularly track, manage, and communicate CO+I related program status, risks, dependencies, schedules, and milestones to leadership.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years people management experience.
- 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 6+ years’ experience leading large-scale programs.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in construction or engineering of data centers/Mission Critical Facilities.
- Knowledge of the Datacenter industry, operators in region and market dynamics is preferred.
- Collaborator, working closely with multiple teams and subject matter experts.
- Confident, takes ownership, willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done with proven experience leading complex negotiations/initiatives to successful completion.
- Proven ability to apply critical thinking in complex situations.
- Willing to travel as needed (~25%).
- Experience with corporate communications.
Technical Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
