The Opportunity:
The William D. Ruckelshaus Center invites you to join us as an Associate Director at Washington State University (WSU). In the role, you will collaborate with the Director in designing, establishing, and maintaining an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the Ruckelshaus Center's administrative and financial goals and objectives. Provide vision, leadership, and direction for center staff development. Continually develop forward looking planning of administrative staff to adapt and increasing positive support and service. Provide best-practice methodology and toolsets for units to implement with administrative staff. Work jointly with the Director, and appropriate leadership to establish and implement short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, and policies to optimize resources and support the mission. Collaborate with the Director in areas encompassing financial operations, budgeting, personnel, and financial information technology, including data management, financial systems, budget reporting and information/data gathering. Recommend and execute decisions. Oversees the grants and contracts administration both pre- and post-award. Review, complete, and approve documents for personnel, effort certification, and cost sharing. Coordinate with the appropriate center staff, Director, Office of the Provost, Sponsored Programs Services (SPS), and the Office of Research Support and Operations (ORSO) to assure adherence to University, State and Federal guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
- Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field which has included at least two (2) years of management experience. A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

- Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Knowledge of collaborative governance and collaborative policymaking.

Monthly Salary: $8,144.89 - $12,739.44
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
