Responsibilities and Duties:
- You will be responsible for leading a licensed after school program for elementary school age students with a staff of Assistant Teachers (AT) reporting to you.
- You will be responsible for communicating with parents.
- You can and are willing to drive a 15-passenger van to pick up students from local schools (within a 2-3 mile radius of our center).
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- The candidate should have 3 years of teaching experience, and a desire to work part-time. Certified teachers with expired credentials are welcome to apply.
- The ideal candidate has leadership skills to lead a team of assistant teachers and operational savvy to think on their feet.
- You are very personable with excellent communication skills. You love to teach elementary school students and have superior classroom management skills.
- You can implement diverse extracurricular curriculum in your center and love to support young students in their journey to become little leaders.
- You are a responsible individual, take ownership, and independently take tasks to completion.
Work timings:
This is a part-time position for 25 hours/week. The ideal candidate will only be wanting to work between 25 and 30 hours/week. This position will never be turned into a full-time position. Your hours of working are 1:45 to 6:30 every day except Wednesday when you work from 12:30 to 6:30 pm; there is some flexibility in these work timings and we can discuss that with the hired candidate.
