Responsibilities
The Operations Department (“OPER”) handles the middle and back office functions for all Global Banking and Investor Solutions (“GBIS”) business lines (Markets & Financing) and International Private Banking. OPER implements all necessary means to ensure the operational, administrative, and financial processing market and credit operations initiated by business lines. In addition, OPER ensures the control and security of transaction processing in accordance with current financial legislations.
OPER, which operates within GBIS, is responsible for the following at worldwide level:
- Making available all the resources required for the administrative and financial processing of market and credit operations initiated by the various Business Lines
- Performing level one auditing in accordance with regulatory requirements, and setting up all the facilities required for secure processing of transactions
- Managing operational risks
- Participating in drawing up economic and accounting results for SG Coverage and Investment Banking & International Private Banking operations
- The purpose of the position is to act as a support person in Deliveries department. The position duties include managing physical and cash settled positions for US markets, follow the sun processing for EMEA markets and daily and weekly expiration processes.
The Deliveries team monitors all the physical/cash settled processes, assisting other reconciliation and regulatory reporting teams when necessary. The position also includes assisting EMEA counterparts with Follow the Sun processing for later deliverables.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Managing all physical Deliveries in Americas markets (All asset classes)
- Confirm with Client Services the client’s intention for spot month deliverable products
- Maintain accurate open positions in books and at the exchange to ensure the clients position exposure is accurate
- Liaison w/Client Services to gather intentions on last trade dates
- Check the exchanges for any delivery notices and report to the client services teams globally
- Process and reconcile all derivative option expirations on Americas markets
- Provide option coverage for EMEA markets after hours

Technical Skills:
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
- Comprehensive understanding of futures products and the physical deliverable products

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of applicable experience required.
Educational Requirements:
- College Degree or equivalent work experience

- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or other quantitative subjects
