A company is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to oversee the acquisition and leasing of trucks and trailers, ensuring optimal fleet management for the organization. Key Responsibilities:Procurement of Trucks and Trailers:- Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors for trucks and trailers.
- Negotiate purchase prices, lease agreements, and terms with vendors and lenders.
- Oversee the selection and procurement process, from vendor evaluation to equipment pickup.
- Ensure all acquisitions align with company budgets, requirements, and long-term objectives.
Fleet Leasing Management:- Manage and optimize the leasing of trucks and trailers to meet operational needs.
- Evaluate and compare lease offers to secure the most favourable terms.
- Monitor and manage lease agreements, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure leased assets meet company standards and needs.
Loan Review and Financial Analysis:- Review and analyse loan terms associated with truck and trailer purchases and leases.
- Collaborate with the finance department to assess the financial impact of loans on the organization.
- Negotiate loan terms to ensure favourable interest rates and repayment schedules.
- Monitor loan agreements for compliance and financial performance.
Vendor Relationship Management:- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, lenders, and leasing companies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of vendors and negotiate terms for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and advancements in trucking and trailer technology.
Documentation and Compliance:- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, contracts, and loan agreements.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on procurement activities, costs, and financial commitments.
