The Senior Clinical Director reports to the MDS US VP/GM, and is responsible for the overall clinical strategy, culture, and talent for the collective US MDS Region Clinical Organization. The associate will be a member of the MDS USR Leadership Team and will play a critical role in the strategic decisions for the MDS US Region. Additionally, close collaboration with the Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and business leadership is essential to ensure short and long-term business objectives are achieved.
The role is responsible for ensuring execution of programs and processes which promote the clinical expertise of the team and differentiate the product portfolio and improve patient care in areas of Vascular Access and Oncology. The Clinical Director provides guidance and direction on the development and implementation of initiatives which focus on improved clinical outcomes as well as educational programs designed to promote optimal clinical practices.
The Senior Clinical Director will ensure the team is tracking to established commercial goals in the most efficient and cost-effective manner and will provide guidance and perspective in our go-to-market customer approach for revenue growth and customer retention. This position will be responsible for leading overall management of clinical services and affiliated budget in support of product conversion activity which will drive overall revenue growth for the US Region.
Job Responsibilities
Provides high level customer engagement (CNO, CNE, etc.) in partnership with SCG and MDS Sales Team
Provides clinical insight for projects and development of tools for the advancement of vascular access and oncology best practices
Collaborates with the VAD and OVC VP of Sales and Sales Leadership to ensure effective strategies for use of clinical resources
Leads overall strategy & execution of Clinical organization
Oversees the resourcing allocation and budget for the contracted clinical services
Represents Clinical organization at regional or national customer, GPO, and/or KOL meetings (AONE, INS)
Develops compensation plans and IIGs for the Clinical team to align with the organizational goals
Proactively provides updates to Sales Leadership Team regarding Clinical Team activities/issues that impact the revenue stream
In collaboration with Commercial organization, provides insights into training materials ensuring they are current and clinically relevant
Manages the operational T&E budget for the VAD & OVC Clinical team and has responsibility for the contractual service agreement with the BDX vendor partner supplying clinical resourcing for MDS product training and implementations
As a member of the US MDS Leadership Team, participates in customer facing opportunities to drive revenue growth
Ensures product, process, and management skills are continually advanced across the clinical organization
Coaches Clinical Managers to elevate talent and performance of the Clinical and Pharmacy Consultants
Facilitates Quarterly Business Review of performance and performance improvement areas
Provides leadership in support of MDS new hire associate training
Leads special projects, ASR development, and annual capacity & budgeting planning relative to Clinical organization
Supports Vascular Access Management assessment process with proper level of partnership to ensure clinical expertise is available and aligned with goals of the assessment
Shares best practices with Marketing, Regional Sales Teams, SCG, Clinical Effectiveness Manager, and Business Platforms
Possesses a deep knowledge of the unique clinical qualifications and capabilities to ensure each clinical manager knows how to best deploy their expertise

Position Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree (BSN preferred)
National vascular certifications preferred (e.g. CRNI) - preferred not required
Minimum of 5 – 7 years Managerial experience (Healthcare focus preferred)
Five to seven years Clinical application preferred in areas to include, but not limited to: Education, Oncology, Infusion Therapy, and/or Infection Control
Demonstrated skill in internal and external customer engagement
Experience in developing and managing large budgets
Demonstration of strong verbal and written skills
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Exceptional collaboration and team building skills
Ability to travel 60% of time
