Summary
The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for recruitment, candidate selection/assessment, targeting talent pools and pre-employment processes and strategies for Centerspace. Key resource in strengthening the Centerspace talent acquisition infrastructure of systems, training, processes, practices, and vendor relationship management and optimization.
Expectations
Follows already established procedures but expected to strengthen recruiting processes to drive quality selection and hire quality, in addition to comprehensive protocols. Generally given guidance but expected to be self-directed once trained. Possesses the ability to manage multiple opportunities at various stages of completion, follow instructions, prioritize duties, and comply with deadlines. Essential and first point of contact for applicants, new hires, and hiring managers, demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Proactively Builds a Talent Pipeline
- Develops creative recruiting strategies to find and attract talent.
- Develops a diverse talent pool.
- Conducts research to identify and execute the most effective marketing campaigns.
- Network with industry contacts, colleges/universities, resident referral community, team member referrals to source candidates for open opportunities and develop qualified candidate pools in advance of hiring needs.
- Attends and actively participates in job fairs and networking events.
- Partner with Marketing to develop company branded recruiting materials.
- Partner with Hiring Managers to identify growth team members, aid in succession planning, identify at risk team members to proactively build talent pipeline.
- Deeply understands the mindset of the talent we seek to attract and build experiences to articulate Centerspace’s employer value proposition.
- Selects and Hires Top Talent
- Responsible for setup and maintenance of Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Primary contact for candidates at all stages of the application and pre-employment process, establishing and maintaining positive relationships while effectively demonstrating the value of Centerspace as an employer of choice.
- Leads and participates in high quality, end to end selection process for all roles assigned.
- Responsible for job advertising and working with hiring managers to determine appropriate advertising plans for their open opportunities.
- Develops and manages relationships with employment agencies and community organizations.
- Responsible for phone screening applicants, which may include performing the phone screens and providing recommendations to the hiring managers as well as providing question sets and instructions/training to hiring managers to perform their own screening.
- Review applications and resumes to determine qualified candidate pools.
- Maintains interview guides for all high-volume opportunities and continuously updates to meet business needs.
- Provides hiring managers with guidance and training for interviewing and selection best practices.
- Conducts one on one exit interviews for regrettable departure team members to identify turnover trends.
- May assist with interviews, either onsite for geographically nearby regions, or remotely.
- Prepares and sends all offer letters and decline notices for open positions.
- Initiates and processes due diligence for all job offers, including background checks, reference checks and any pre-employment assessments. Responsible for gathering any information necessary for Centerspace to make informed hiring decisions.
- Composes and issues pre-adverse and adverse action letters in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) when an applicant fails to pass Centerspace’s background check process.
- Responsible for maintaining recruiting records in compliance with all Centerspace reporting requirements.
- Aggressively manages high volume of open requisitions and days to fill and other KPI’s set for Talent Acquisition.

- Assists with various Talent and Culture projects as needed and assigned.
- Responsible for training and development of hiring managers in areas related to recruiting, selecting, and hiring diverse talent.
- Supports onboarding processes.
- Remains current on company policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Primary backup for Talent Acquisition.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel
Minimal travel required (0-10%).

Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with applicant tracking systems or other resume database tools (preferably UKG) is preferred.
- Certificates and/or Licenses: SHRM-CP is preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Language Skills: Able to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, summary plan descriptions, benefit plan documents, and procedural manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have moderate to advanced Word processing and Power Point skills. Moderate to advanced ability in Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel) is required. Team member will be expected to design professional presentations and spreadsheets, evaluate the validity of data, and design/use formulas, pivot tables, tables, charts and other advanced functions.
