LifeSource is hiring a Chief People & Culture Officer to be responsible for the development and execution of all functions of human resources including talent management, team member relations, talent acquisition, Compensation and Benefits (Total Rewards), payroll, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Development, Education and Learning.
The Chief People & Culture Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR programs that enable the company strategy, while fostering a value-driven, high-performance culture. This role will be a thought partner to the executive leadership team and will put in place both short and long-term strategic HR capabilities required to exceed company expectations. This Chief will also provide strategic leadership and innovative experience for all human resource functions including benefits, compensation, recruiting, employee relations, talent development, training, and performance management.
As a Chief People and Culture Officer, you’ll advance our life-saving work by performing the following job duties:
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term strategy and goals; identifies ways to support this strategy through talent management.
- Provides strategic direction, leadership, and support to senior management on workforce planning.
- Leads major initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness.
- Demonstrates operational excellence: plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Keeps abreast of the latest trends and changes in HR strategies globally.
- Direct the implementation of strategies for human resources and talent development policies, procedures, and projects integrating equity, diversity, and inclusion across the talent lifecycle in alignment with organizational culture.
- Apply experience, data, research, education, and identified best practices to provide guidance with:
- full cycle talent engagement processes, including oversight of the affirmative action plan,
- benefits, leave of absence, disability, and other aspects of total rewards program,
- organizational support for learning and development deployment, measurement, and documentation,
- development of policy, procedure, training, and resources to support the organizational culture.
Lead the understanding and adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other office safety, workplace injury, vaccination and immunization regulations, standards, and policies, including managing workforce COVID response and expectations.
Manage and administer policies and procedures of the total rewards program, specifically maintaining a competitive compensation plan structure.
Oversight of centralized learning model for talent development facilitation.
Ensure human resources compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including, but not limited to Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), as well as internal organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to 10 years of human resources, with HR operations and talent management experience highly preferred.
- Requires previous experience with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or Learning Management System (LMS).
- Previous knowledge, experience, and collaboration with payroll processes.
- Strong understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations in relation to HR and employee/employment rights. Demonstrating solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business.
- Nuanced understanding of (and proven track record in) translating corporate culture, values and business objectives into actionable program execution for effective recruitment, EDI, and retention.
- Experience with driving employee engagement and connection initiatives in a remote/hybrid organization.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to drive results to improve processes and outcomes with the use of critical thinking, analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit a high degree of quality, integrity, and honor confidentiality of appropriate information including, but not limited to, personal team member data, organizational operations or work processes, donor and donor family information, contributor details, any financial information and medical or protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA.
This role is hybrid on-site in Minneapolis, MN.
