Senior Principal Mixed-Signal (ADC) Design Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Mixed-Signal (ADC) Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and development of high-performance analog-to-digital converters (ADC) for our state-of-the-art mmWave solution. As a Senior Principal Mixed-Signal (ADC) Design Engineer, you will lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, drive innovative circuit design techniques, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products' performance and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead ADC Design: Drive end-to-end mixed-signal ADC design, from concept to implementation, ensuring high-performance, low-power consumption, and optimal integration with our existing systems.
- Architecture Definition: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define ADC system architectures, understanding and balancing performance, area, and power requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Simulation and Validation: Conduct extensive simulations, modeling, and validation of ADC circuits using industry-standard EDA tools such as AMS and System Verilog.
- Design Performance Optimization: Identify and implement design techniques to enhance ADC performance parameters, such as resolution, linearity, noise, power consumption, and speed.
- Technology Trends: Stay abreast of the latest advancements and emerging trends in ADC design and mixed-signal circuitry.
- Silicon Characterization: Collaborate with the test team to define test plans and support silicon characterization efforts to validate and debug the chip's performance.
- Design Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, design reviews, and data reviews.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met promptly.
- Intellectual Property: Contribute to the creation and protection of intellectual property through patents.
Qualifications:
- Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or related fields, with a focus on analog/mixed-signal circuit design with 15+ years of industry experience.
- Hands-on experience in designing SAR ADCs with sampling rates higher than 500MSps per core.
- Strong expertise in CMOS and SOI process technologies, deep sub-micron nodes, and mixed-signal layout techniques.
- Proficiency in EDA tools such as Cadence, Spectre, Virtuoso, AMS and familiarity with hardware description languages (e.g. Verilog).
- Proven track record of leading successful ADC designs and bringing them to production.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Familiarity with industry standards, protocols, and compliance testing.

Pay Range: $214,096.30- $348,754 (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)
