Reporting to the Sr. Director, Controller of the AMC Segment, the Manager will lead key elements of the monthly accounting close process including partnering with the AMC Business Unit Finance Directors throughout the close process to ensure timely completion and sign off on divisional financial statements, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations for the AMC holding companies, and reviewing AMC financial statements. The Manager will assist in the compilation and review of data for monthly and quarterly reporting up to Corporate Accounting, including restructuring, financial statement fluctuation analysis, and ad-hoc requests. The Manager will have a thorough understanding of US GAAP and the Company's accounting policies and procedures and work with the divisions to ensure compliance with policy, drive standardization around controls/processes, and mitigate risk.
The Manager will serve as an important and strategic leader within the Segment's finance organization, contributing to the compliance with standard frameworks and practices that enable accurate and timely financial statements, driving continuous improvement and efficiencies in the accounting close and partnering with and supporting the divisions on various accounting matters. This role will have significant visibility to segment leadership and will maintain close working relationships with the Division Finance Directors, AMC FP&A team, Sr. Managers of Internal Audit, Manager of Corporate Accounting, Manager of Technical Accounting, among others.
- Coordinate with business unit finance teams during the monthly close process, providing guidance and assisting with issue resolution as needed.
- Perform detailed review of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly files as required by Corporate Accounting including restructuring rollforward and financial statement fluctuation analysis.
- Liaise with business unit teams to provide oversight and proactive support on internal controls, accounting policy requirements, and technical accounting matters.
- Review certain journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement analytics.
- Assist with preparation of the monthly President's Operating Report.
- Drive continuous improvement in the monthly close process through the increased utilization of technology and tools, implementation of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measures, while embracing Regal Rexnord's 80/20 principles.
- Implement processes to track and drive Continuous Improvement, Cost Productivity, Inventory Management, and Free Cash Flow initiatives at divisions to meet Segment and Company targets.
- Support internal control assessments and establish and maintain effective design and operating effectiveness of internal controls of assigned processes.
- Coordinate with and support external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Master's Degree in Accounting or MBA preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
- 7+ years of relevant and progressive accounting experience
- Close-the-books experience at large or medium US public company is preferred
- Big 4 or large public accounting experience is preferred
- Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong leadership, team building and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills; ability to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross functional collaboration and influence resources outside one's direct responsibility.
- Ability to focus on the overall objective for a given process or accounting area, while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail if needed to resolve questions or issues

- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience with Oracle ERP system, Hyperion and OneStream is a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
