This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. Essential Functions: - Experience with DoD Contracting and Research & Development, specifically with military manual development (TMs or TOs)
- Able to obtain Security+ certification
- Understanding of electro-optical data products
- Background with image processing (i.e., pixel processing and fidelity)
- Familiarity and understanding of Orbital Mechanics
- Experience with communications software and GUIs
- Draft Test Procedures
- Experience with and understanding of Space Domain Awareness mission and systems
- Ability to teach and mentor junior engineers
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering Requirements Validation
- Create/maintain unique operating systems
- Track correlated and uncorrelated targets up to GEO within Space Acquisition programs
- Correlate hardware specifications with software requirements to support System Sustainment IAW DoDI 5000.02
- Serve as a lead technical integrator of multiple engineering disciplines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
- Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
- Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems)
- Participate in MBSE and requirements analysis.
- Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.
- Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).
- Experience with INCOSE requirements writing guide.
- Travel, including international (up to 10%)
Qualifications : - Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Active US government secret security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills: - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent field.
- Familiarity with the Agile process
- Experience with Engineering Drawings and traceability MagicDraw
- Rational DOORs
- SysML/MBSE
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $106,500.00 - $197,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
