Medical Technologist MT or MLT

As a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) at our facility, you will be part of a dedicated team that transcends patient and community expectations through exceptional care. You’ll work in a state-of-the-art new facility, equipped with the latest technology to support a fast-paced laboratory system handling over 1.8 million tests annually. Compensation: $23.50 - $38.90 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a wide range of clinical laboratory tests to produce reliable and accurate data to support the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Adhere to established procedures for laboratory testing and follow detailed instructions for instrument operation.
- Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to guarantee precise test results.
- Monitor testing procedures to ensure all tasks are performed according to established quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to assist in the collection and interpretation of test results.
- Participate in laboratory quality assurance programs and adhere to all safety policies and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program (required).
- Active ASCP certification as MT/CLS or MLT/CLS (required).
- Capacity to work both day or night shifts, with each shift spanning 12 hours.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a strong emphasis on reliability and accuracy.
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside robust interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a high-volume laboratory environment, especially in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems and electronic health records.
- Blood Bank experience is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of dependability and commitment in previous roles.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
