We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Business Analyst to join our growing digital marketing agency. The Business Analyst will support the Vice President of Operations in analyzing business processes, evaluating technology platforms, and managing system administration tasks. This role is essential for driving operational efficiency and innovation across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a modern, data-driven approach to problem-solving and be adept at identifying opportunities for improvement and scalability within a fast-paced digital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Analysis & Optimization
- Collaborate with key resources within the agency to map and analyze business processes across various functions, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Lead cross-departmental discussions to gather requirements and recommend process enhancements that align with business objectives.
- Develop process documentation, flowcharts, and business models to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Monitor the performance of business processes, making recommendations for ongoing optimizations to improve productivity and scalability.
Technology Platform Evaluation & Integration
- Work closely with stakeholders to assess existing technology platforms, identifying gaps and recommending new tools or integrations that can streamline operations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analyses on potential technology investments, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Help lead the implementation of new platforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
- Act as the liaison between technical teams, vendors, and end-users to ensure technology solutions are properly deployed and utilized.
System Administration & Maintenance
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of key operational platforms, such as Workfront & Salesforce, ensuring data and access are well maintained.
- Monitor system performance and manage troubleshooting efforts to address any issues that arise.
- Implement regular audits of systems and processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Manage user permissions, access control, and security protocols for operational platforms.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to inform business decisions and measure the effectiveness of processes and technologies.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports that provide actionable insights to the leadership team and other stakeholders.
- Identify trends and patterns in operational data to anticipate potential issues and propose preemptive solutions.
Project Management & Collaboration
- Work alongside the VP of Operations in managing key projects related to business process optimization, technology implementation, and system improvements.
- Create project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring on-time completion of all initiatives.
- Facilitate collaboration between departments, ensuring alignment and open communication on critical projects.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and outcomes.
Required Competencies:

- Ability to deconstruct complex processes and systems into manageable parts for evaluation and improvement.
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in using and administering a variety of digital marketing platforms (e.g., CRM systems, marketing automation, analytics tools, etc.).
- Comfortable with project management tools (e.g., Workfront & JIRA) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics, Power BI).
- Knowledge of process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage relationships with external vendors and partners.
Organizational & Time Management
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A self-starter who can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Business Acumen & Industry Knowledge
- Solid understanding of digital marketing industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Ability to align business analysis activities with broader organizational goals to drive growth and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role, preferably within a digital marketing agency or tech-focused environment.
- Experience with business process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital marketing technologies, including automation tools, CRM platforms, and analytics systems.
- Proven track record of supporting business growth through process optimization and technology integration.
Avid Marketing Group works in a hybrid style, 3 days in the Rocky Hill, CT office and 2 days home. We believe in person collaboration is key to successful business relationships and job training. Compensation packages include base salary, plus yearly bonus, 401k, Profit Sharing, and Cash Balance.
