The CareDx Solutions Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for expanding the CareDx patient and digital solution portfolio footprint at the account and regional level. Focusing primarily on transplant center account customers, the SAM will coordinate and collaborate with the Transplant Account Managers (TAMs) to identify new opportunities, drive opportunities through to closure, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Successful SAMs are collaborative, agile problem solvers with consultative sales and account management expertise, possessing strong communication skills and the ability to uncover new opportunities and deliver consistent results. The SAM role reports directly to the Regional Director (RD). States in this region include ME, NH, VT, NY, MA, CT, RI, PA, and NJ.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Account Management: Develop a deep understanding of account’s needs, objectives, and challenges in order to provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements. Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts to upsell and cross-sell relevant CareDx products, solutions, or services.
- Consultative Selling: Focus on the customer's needs and challenges, positioning the CareDx portfolio offering as a potential solution(s). Using empathy and incisive questions to learn about a customer's reality and how our solution(s) can uniquely help them accomplish their goals and objectives.
- Contract Negotiation & Administration: Lead contract administration process from start to finish, managing pricing and business term negotiations to ensure they meet company objectives and standards. Work closely with CareDx legal department to ensure contracts comply with laws, regulations, and business goals.
- Managing the Sales Pipeline: Continual prospecting and probing for new, upsell, and expansion opportunities, developing sales strategies to achieve growth objectives at the account and regional levels. Prepare regular performance reports for regional, providing insights into strategy effectiveness, ROI, and key other performance indicators.
- Collaborating with Internal Teams: Partner with Testing Services, Customer Experience, Medical Affairs Software Operations, and Marketing to develop creative solutions or enhance current offerings that address customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years software, IT, or digital sales or strategic account management experience in the healthcare industry.
- Experience selling into hospitals, hospital/health systems, and/or enterprise-level accounts, navigating across multiple levels of stakeholders and departments.
- Experience with complex, multi-touch, long sales processes/cycles (6-9 months) and closing deals.
- Track record of developing effective account strategies that maximize business outcomes.
- Contract negotiation and quantitative financial analysis skills.
- Strong written and oral communication & organizational skills.
- Must be willing to travel 50-75% or greater, including frequent day trips and overnight travel.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce.com, and analytical tools.
