CLA's Internal Finance team is looking to hire an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Accountant. This role will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients. Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of clerical accounting tasks in support of the accounting function.
- Compiles and sorts invoices and checks.
- Records charges and refunds.
- Compiles amounts owed to the company by customers or clients, and inputs figures to the accounting system.
- Prepares and distributes invoices, verifying that they comply with organizational policies and accurately reflect charges incurred.
- Enters invoice amounts into the accounting system and processes invoices or bills.
- Responds to inquiries from customers or clients and researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies.
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable ledgers to identify improper charges, validate transactions and ensure accurate and timely posting of payments received.
- Invoice generation and verification of customer credit approval.
- Payment processing and application to customer balances.
- Receivables age analysis and reporting.
- Daily Cash Flow Management: Manages and records cash receipts in lockbox and posting to A/R accounts. Follows up on aging A/R with engagement leaders, which may include direct interaction with clients.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 3 years of related administrative experience required.
- Education: High school degree or equivalent required.
- Technical Competencies: Advanced proficiency with Workday Financials or similar software. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is necessary. Understanding of CRM, Adobe, and other internal systems.
- Travel: <10% required. This position would ideally work within close commuting distance to one of our CLA office locations.
The wage range for this position is: $21.00 – $32.00 per hour. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
