The Refugee Health Analyst (RHA) position will work in close collaboration with the State Refugee Health Coordinator (SRHC), in the Office of Global Michigan (OGM), within the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).
The position will be responsible for administering all refugee health contracts, ensuring compliance with federal and state policies, and overseeing program budgets and monitoring. This includes communicating with partner contract agencies, processing grants and expenditures, and managing budgets. The RHA will be responsible for contract monitoring for all refugee health contracts, including providing interview questionnaires, summarizing reports, and following corrective actions. The RHA will propose, develop, and prepare program recommendations based on monitoring findings to the SRHC for program improvement or development.
The RHA position will maintain refugee health programming data, including contract evaluation outcomes tracking, overseeing databases, and assisting with state and federal reporting. As it relates to health programming, the RHA position will work on program evaluation and development and set program assessment criteria in coordination with the SRHC and other Refugee Services staff. Additionally, this position will be responsible for assisting the SRHC and other Refugee Services staff in completing relevant reporting requirements to the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Finally, the RHA will provide training, guidance, and technical assistance to contracted providers as it relates to refugee health contracts. This will include assisting and answering questions regarding data entry and reporting, providing an overview of new policies and procedures, and interpreting existing policies. The RHA will also propose, develop, and prepare policy materials, operations manuals, and supporting instructions for contractors, as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience:
- REQUIRED: Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
PREFERRED:
- A minimum of one year of experience working with humanitarian immigrant or refugee populations.
- Cross-cultural experience is required.
