As part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver solutions that address critical infrastructure resilience and security issues and support the military mission, while reducing environmental impacts. The ERS Division is seeking a qualified and proactive candidate to provide expertise in data architecture and analytic tools and visualization to serve as decision support and resilience investment strategies amongst sustainability activities, to include, but not limited to, energy, water, waste, GHG emissions, sustainable procurement, etc. In this role, you will work with small teams to understand, visualize, and report client data to enable organizational planning, forecasting, transparency of decision making, accountability, accessibility, and accuracy of enterprise-wide data.
The Business Process & Data Analyst will help bring together technical and analytical acumen with business strategy and build on the team’s knowledge of energy resilience, sustainability, climate, data and policy analysis, and the legal and regulatory environment. This is an in-person position. Some travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support high-paced, senior level offices and help drive their data management and integration strategies.
- Support data operations, integration, and pilot programs.
- Provide technical research, advice, and guidance for data program(s).
- Support the development of data solutions to automate, track, and report on energy, water, climate, and other installation resilience projects, such as energy performance contracts, installation electrification, and water conservation.
- Synthesize policy documents to identify data gaps and reporting requirements.
- Engage and interact with software vendors to explore data integration opportunities.
- Assist in automating the collection of enterprise-level energy and water data and increase data sharing to identify and enable metrics reporting, prioritization criteria and methodologies, risk mitigation, and framework development for enterprise data informed decision-making.
- Track and manage action items and deliverables as assigned.
- Work with CTC’s existing project teams to understand client needs, current challenges, and potential solutions in all areas related to the collection, extraction, and quantitative/qualitative analyses of installation energy and water data, and other activities related to digital transformation.
- Conduct analysis of data analytics problems by reverse engineering an existing scenario, detailing a requirement, the existing decision-making process, the existing analytical tools, and the existing data sources.
- Prepare info papers, briefings, point papers, reviews, and oral presentations to translate the results from analysis to government decision makers.
- Facilitate strategic workshops to improve data informed decision-making and associated business processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA or BS in economics, computer or data science, physics, mathematics, business, or related field with at least a minimum of 4-6 years directly related experience.
- Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into organizational goals aligned to policy requirements and priorities.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Possess an interest in identifying innovative processes and technologies to enhance energy and climate resilience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct research, apply principles, concepts, and methodologies to difficult and/or varied assignments.
- Capacity to collaborate in a team setting and work independently to meet objectives.
- Ability and willingness to brief client leadership.
- Ability and willingness to manage complex projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance and DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- MA or MS in related field.
- Experience in modeling and simulation of complex systems.
- Data management experience including but not limited to developing data dictionaries, business rules, or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of DoD structure and operations.
- Possess and maintain an active US government security clearance and DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
