Kearney & Company is seeking a Senior Budget Officer Advana to join our growing firm! Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and review reprogramming and funds transfer actions within DoD.
- Provide support with the collection and integration of financial data, including the data calls to collect such information, to include determining the appropriate analytic methods to develop reports and briefings.
- Provide support for the submission quality check process for all financial information and coordinating with the agencies to resolve data discrepancies.
- Review monthly financial data, monitor, reconcile, and report data against plans, forecasts, and budget targets, as needed to perform analysis and generate summary and detail reports and executive level information papers.
- Perform support and analysis activities to document financial execution for budget accounts and design and test the integration and accuracy of financial data integration into the DoD Advanced Analytics (Advana) tool.
- Assist with the distribution and consolidation of RFIs from internal and external organizations.
- Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide support in compiling data and information for closure of audits and timely submission of congressional reports.
Qualifications- Master’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience – Or additional six years of experience in a related field is required if the individual does not have a master’s degree.
- Willing to work onsite at the Pentagon daily.
- Must possess a Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated experience using the DoD Advanced Analytics (Advana) tool.
- At least three years of experience with DoD financial management analytics and reconciliations.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to quickly understand both business and technical concepts.
- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical requirements.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers.
- Demonstrated customer service abilities.
- Demonstrated experience multi-tasking across multiple projects.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to quickly deliver quality written products in constrained time periods.
- Must have outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across DoD.
- Must have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers on various ad hoc requests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in translating stakeholder requirements into executable solutions.
- Experience with Congressional supplemental funding requests.

The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
