The Homeland Group is looking for a TS/SCI-cleared Open Source Reports Office/Intelligence Analyst to support our US Government Customer. The analyst will be responsible for serving as a Reports Officer providing analytical support to overseas operations and pilot programs, as well as for social media and open source monitoring identifying, analyzing, and presenting information within the open source environment related to terrorism, political violence, threats, and suspicious activity directed against the Secretary of State, Department personnel and facilities, designated foreign dignitaries and facilities in the United States, and personnel abroad under chief of mission authority.
The Open Source Intelligence Analysts support 24/7 operations and will work 12-hour night shifts four nights on/nights days off. CONUS and OCONUS travel up to 10% may be required. Overseas travel may be to countries with high threat levels requiring the use of personal protective equipment while exercising special safety precautions.
Strong candidates should also possess a combination of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience OR High School diploma and 8+ years of experience.
- In-depth and demonstrated knowledge of current international and domestic threat environment.
- Experience conducting open source collection and analysis and academic research, all-source intelligence analysis, and/or targeting.
- Experience applying open source concepts, methods, and practices to support intelligence research and analysis operations.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques to effectively locate and identify information of concern in publicly available information including social, news, and traditional media.
- Knowledge of Internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, and Internet sources, such as social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial- and industry-based databases.
- Experience applying foreign language research methodologies using internationally-focused Websites and machine language translation methods.
- Demonstrated ability to establish liaison and interact effectively with individuals at all levels to coordinate activities with other intelligence and law enforcement personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives pertaining to collection and disseminated all source intelligence analysis.
- Experience with a wide variety of intelligence and law enforcement databases pertinent to threats to life and property, and terrorism is preferred.
Required/Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience OR 8+ years’ experience with a High School Diploma.
- Experience conducting open source and academic research, all-source intelligence and targeting.
- Knowledge of identity and network analysis, intelligence production and collection processes, and authoring intelligence products, and open source collection methodologies (including search tools and methodologies) against media platforms.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives pertaining to collection and disseminated all source intelligence analysis.
- Experience with a wide variety of intelligence and law enforcement databases pertinent to threats to life and property, and terrorism is preferred.
