The Test Instrumentation and Lethal Mechanism portfolio specializes in the development and production of flight data acquisition, telemetry, and electronic fusing products for DoD and Aerospace customers. As the Deputy Portfolio Manager, you’ll support the TI&LM Portfolio Manager with (1) influencing program personnel to exceed expectations in their roles, (2) overseeing a portion of the portfolio’s programs to ensure delivery of products and proposals on time, (3) being responsible for delivering on customer and financial commitments, and (4) identifying business bottlenecks to improve manufacturing and overall execution efficiencies. The Deputy Portfolio Manager will be part of the RF Systems Division leadership team and will provide guidance and leadership to program staff as well as reporting status to Division leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
The Deputy Portfolio Manager will:
- Conduct one-on-one and group meetings with the program teams to check status, provide guidance, and work through any issues.
- Interface with customers to develop relationships and ensure the highest quality of service.
- Provide business expertise to proposals and ensure submissions align with mission, financial, and Division strategic objectives.
- Provide solutions to identified deficiencies within the portfolio’s planning and execution.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering plus eight (8) or more years of experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and customers to deliver hardware/software solutions.
- Master's degree in Business or Engineering plus six (6) or more years of experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and customers to deliver hardware/software solutions.
- Build strategic relationships with internal/external customers while collaborating with company/industry leaders to gather cutting-edge solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading development or production teams to develop hardware/software solutions.
- Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a US citizen and possess a DoD secret clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a final secret clearance.
- Must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD Weapon system/subsystem design experience.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
