Medica’s Senior Communications Consultant will be responsible for creating and implementing communication strategies that support organizational growth. This role will design, deliver, and evaluate communication strategies and programs that enhance the employee experience and strengthen business results through improved performance.
This role works directly with senior executives to lead communications in support of business objectives, and partners with Human Resource Business Partners, business leaders, and communication colleagues to identify, design, and manage initiatives for improved individual, team, and organizational effectiveness.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Communication Strategy
- Engage with senior executives and business leaders to develop key messaging, themes/topics, style/tone, target audiences and appropriate communications channels
- Identify, write, and edit a broad range of leader/business communications for internal audiences, including speeches and talking points, videos and employee-related news and information
- Develop internal communication strategies that support culture, engagement, and business transformation
- Support growth of the company in new markets by collaborating on strategies to introduce Medica as a preferred employer and community partner
- Design and develop standards for communications success. Develop and monitor metrics to measure reach and impact of communications and to identify areas of success and opportunity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 7+ years of progressive corporate communications experience
- Experience in developing and facilitating successful change management strategies and/or programs to all levels of employees throughout an organization required
- Demonstrated experience using data and insights to develop and drive strategies
Specific types of experience or skills required
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, planning and project management skills
- Experience working with senior leadership
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to turn verbal direction into written communications
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, think critically, and problem solve
- Ability to execute, meet and report deadlines
- An extensive knowledge and understanding of the intended audience
This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
The full salary range for this position is $75,300 - $129,000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
