This Finance Position will support the Specialty Pharmacy - inclusive of budgeting/forecasting, reporting, analytics, investment tracking, strategic initiatives modeling, and other ad hoc financial support. This position will collaborate closely with business leaders and other Finance teams on initiatives to improve productivity and expense management.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Formulate strategic business plans and financial models to identify opportunities for increased profitability, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends to drive favorable outcomes
- Lead comprehensive budget and forecast processes for Optum Specialty Pharmacy and perform month-end analysis to facilitate understanding of monthly results against the financial plan
- Manage complex and matrixed financial structure with heightened focus on reimbursement, purchasing dynamics, and supplemental revenue streams in an ever-changing environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather accurate financial data, analyze market trends to predict future financial performance and optimize financial performance
- Manage business relationship on behalf of the broader Finance organization and leadership
- This position requires a combination of strong analytical skills with good business acumen and communication to senior level management

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business
- 5+ years of finance/accounting experience
- Solid financial, analytical, and business acumen as well as excellent attention to detail
- Experience anticipating issues, access implications and implement appropriate action plans
- Experience working collaboratively and influencing others within a matrix organization
- Proven ability to work independently with little supervision, prioritize work and be a self-starter
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel skills, including financial modeling experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Experience working in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas
- Hyperion Essbase
- Healthcare, Technology, and/or Revenue Cycle Management experience
- Understanding of third-party contracts and concepts
- Proven excellent written communication skills and the ability to verbally communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise and timely manner

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
