TTI, Inc. is looking for a Director, Global Accounting at our Corporate office in Northwest Fort Worth, TX.
Responsibilities include directing and planning the global financial statement close for TTI on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as well as the audits of the company’s financial records and internal controls. Responsibilities also include oversight of operational departments within Finance to oversee projects, KPI’s, and operational effectiveness of department. This position reports directly to the VP Corporate Controller.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Directs the preparation and analysis of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise accounting results in terms of profitability, performance against budgets/forecasts, and other matters affecting the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the company.
- Directs and manages financial analysis projects required to improve TTI global systems and processes.
- Directs and oversees all internal and external financial reporting to ensure accurate and reliable reporting of the company’s financial condition and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for researching technical accounting issues and implementing solutions to comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Establishes and implements financial policies, control standards, and corporate budgetary control systems, and drives continuous improvement efforts, to ensure seamless and accurate flow of data, enhance productivity and reduce internal costs.
- Oversees accounting for new TTI targets and acquisitions. Responsible for financial integration activities into TTI reporting requirements and business processes.
- Directs the internal audit of the company’s financial records and/or internal control processes.
- Oversight of the transactional departments within Finance to manage personnel, department performance, and operational effectiveness.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance plus a CPA (or equivalent certification).
- A minimum of 10+ years of related experience is required including experience in accounting, finance, and oversight of transactional finance departments (including Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Payroll processes). A minimum of 5+ years of managerial experience required.
- Public Accounting experience including greater than one year at a manager level is preferred. Previous controller experience at a larger corporation with large ERP systems is also preferred.
- A firm knowledge of the distribution business and inventory is a plus.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- CPA certification
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other technical accounting materials
- Business, leadership and strategic thinking skills for planning and managing budgets, projects, etc.
- Organizational skills for organizing programs, people, projects, etc.
- Strong oral and written communications skills for communicating, building relationships, with extensive internal and external contacts
- Teamwork/collaboration skills to encourage cooperation throughout the TTI organization and with external parties
- Strong managerial and problem solving skills to help develop team and to develop efficiencies within the Finance processes.
- Working proficiency of the personal computer and computer tools including Microsoft Office applications at the advanced level including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Databases, ERP software, and Financial Reporting software.
