Logistics Accountant
Our client is seeking a hard-working individual who is not afraid to go above and beyond for themselves and the company. Someone dedicated to doing things the right way every single time. Being detail-oriented, focused, and disciplined with SOPs will be extremely important in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly bookkeeping and accounting for clients.
- General accounting functions including, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, auditing, account reconciliations, and month-end accrual preparation.
- Developing and implementing improved accounting policies and procedures.
- Provides support in the initiations and review of the accounts payable transactions and settlement.
- Supports the preparation of monthly financial reports, including but not limited to variance analyses and other supporting documents as part of the Monthly Financial Review.
- Provides support in the preparation of annual financial statements and other supporting documents for the statutory audit and tax filing.
- Acting as a liaison with external auditors and governmental agencies ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
- Supports internal management reporting/analysis or other ad hoc requests.
- Preparation of variance analysis, as required.
- Perform other accounting and general office duties as required.
Experience:- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience in a corporation or financial service industry required.
- Functional knowledge in peripheral disciplines like local taxation and statutory requirements.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks required.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Microsoft Excel is required.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team where the accuracy and timeliness of data are critical.
- Flexibility, reliability, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and thorough documentation.
- Candidates with experience in logistics, freight auditing, and brokerage are highly preferred.
