Accounting Manager
North Atlantic Services operates a diversified portfolio of small businesses in Seacoast NH, southern Maine, and northeastern Massachusetts. With offices in Epping, Rye, and North Hampton, NH, North Atlantic is a leader in quality and customer service in the excavation, commercial snow removal, landscaping, and fuel delivery and service industries.
The Accounting Manager reports to the Controller and leads an accounting team of 3 - 4 accounting members.
This position is an in-office position based in North Hampton, NH, with the opportunity to work from home one day a week.
Pay Range: $70k - $80k per year
Responsibilities of Accounting Manager
- Supervise accounting operations across multiple divisions and serve as a backup for AP, AR, and Payroll on an as-needed basis.
- Perform and supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to verify all entries have been created and posted, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and reporting integrity.
- Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries to allocate payroll batches by department and expense type.
- Produce monthly financials package to be reviewed by Controller, CEO, and management team.
- Expand upon and develop accounting processes and procedures manuals that impact departmental budgeting and strategic planning.

Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial capacity.
- Exceptional Microsoft and QuickBooks skills are a must.
- Experience within the fuel industry and Blue Cow software are a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or work experience equivalent.
- Team player, ability to work in a dynamic environment, desire to grow and learn with the organization.
- Strong business and financial analysis skills.
