GeneDx seeks a talented, Accounts Payable Specialist. Reporting into the Accounting Services Supervisor, the AP Specialist will be responsible to ensure that vendor invoices are analyzed and accounted for timely and accurately in NetSuite.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with various departments in resolving vendor invoice issues and responding to vendor inquiries.
- Perform 3-way match when invoices are received to ensure no issues.
- Verify, secure approvals and post vendor invoices into NetSuite, ensuring that amounts are recorded timely and accurately and have complete documentation.
- Maintain effective vendor relations, including reconciling vendor statements and handling payment complaints or discrepancies.
- Support the Accounting team ensuring prepaids and sales taxes are properly identified and analyzed.
- Contribute to team effort by working on ad hoc projects as needed.
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit requests, including providing supporting items for expenses recorded throughout the year.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Accounting or currently seeking their degree.
EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years accounts payable experience in a fast-paced demanding environment.
- Experience in NetSuite preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel and general computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting with a typical climate-controlled environment.
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST, with occasional overtime required during peak periods.
- Hybrid, two days in Stamford, CT office (Tuesday and Wednesday).
Pay Transparency, Budgeted Range:
$50,400 — $72,800 USD
