The Opportunity:
As the Corporate Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, your work will provide valuable insights to our Senior Leaders that will directly impact Caterpillar’s business, strategy and growth. This individual’s primary responsibility will be to prepare timely and accurate monthly and quarterly analysis and reporting that details Caterpillar financial performance, mainly over sales and price reporting. Additional responsibilities include partnering across the enterprise to support key projects related to business unit methodology and Global Finance strategy initiatives, including implementation of a new enterprise financial reporting and ERP system. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your work will be highly visible at all levels of the company.
What You Will Do:
- Lead enterprise sales analysis and reporting, including services revenues, by segment and region
- Oversee enterprise analysis and reporting of retail statistics, including dealer inventory and sales to users
- Manage price reporting and price shared service processes
- Support discussions with senior leaders on business results and demonstrate decision-making skills and ownership of results
- Prepare key quarter-end charts and presentations and support review of all externally communicated financial reports
- Collaborate across a variety of groups at Caterpillar, including finance, accounting, commercial and business divisions
- Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results, including PowerBI
- Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes
What You Have:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
Additional Info:
- This position is in our Irving, TX office
- This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
- Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

- Domestic travel up to 5%
