At Regions, the Equipment Finance Asset Manager is responsible for appraising commercial equipment to establish an accurate valuation, negotiates and enforces various end-of-lease transactions, disposes of returned equipment and assists with overall management of an equipment finance portfolio. The position works within objectives, policies and plans which support Regions' Equipment Finance models and aligns with Bank strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Researches various equipment types to project present and future equipment values for the purpose of providing residual pricing to the marketing, credit, or PAM in a timely and thorough manner.
- Understands components of equipment leasing to ensure prudent equipment covenants are incorporated into lease/loan documentation to protect equipment value and mitigate risk.
- Monitors the various equipment markets for technology changes, market influences and regulatory changes that affect value of leased equipment and residual pricing.
- Performs and coordinates portfolio and administration activities as assigned and required by policy.
- Works with customers, internal partners, and third parties to amiably maximize gain and mitigate loss in equipment dispositions.
- Performs equipment inspections as needed and arrange outside third party inspections and appraisals as requested.
- May work with more senior asset managers.
- Assists more senior asset managers or be the secondary contact on key relationships.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and three (3) years' experience in relevant banking/finance/leasing.
- A High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years' experience in relevant banking/finance/leasing may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
Preferences
- Equipment financing and/or asset management experience.
- Master of Business Administration.
- American Society of Appraisers (ASA) affiliation and/or designation.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to travel periodically and attend seminars and training as requested.
- Ability to work individually, and on team.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to establish and cultivate internal and external relationships as necessary to support function and business.
- Sense of urgency.
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
Job Range Target:
Minimum: $64,050.40 USD
50th Percentile: $86,540.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
