What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Communicate with internal teams to stay updated on tax law changes per jurisdiction
- Monitor IRS and state tax law changes to ensure software compliance
- Analyze tax forms and related laws for software updates
- Design client interfaces for the tax product and implement software changes
- Provide phone support to customers during peak seasons
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Computer Science
- Up to 2 years of recent tax preparation experience or technical support experience with tax software
- Strong communication and computer skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Experience with electronic filing of tax returns
- Familiarity with federal, state, city, and local income tax preparation
