Responsibilities
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Radiologist, the Nuclear Supervisor is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the supervision of Nuclear Imaging services. The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and shall not be considered a detailed description of all the work requirements inherent in the position. Commitment to the delivery of competent patient care supported by lines of communication and coordination with physicians, patients, and co-workers. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
The Nuclear Supervisor will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Supervisor of Nuclear is a High School graduate or equivalent with satisfactory completion of a formal Nuclear School of Medicine or equivalent. CPR Certification is required. Must be a registered technologist within the Nuclear Medicine Field; should have attained experience and possess capabilities as determined to be adequate by the Director and Medical Director of Radiology.
