Rate: $60 - $70 / Hour

Certifications: CIA and/or CPA preferred, but not required.
Job Summary:
Our client, a leader in the Automobile industry, is seeking a Parts Distribution Center Auditor (PDC) for 2 PDC Tests over the course of the next 7 months. The Automotive Parts Distribution Auditor will be responsible for auditing inventory and distribution processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This role involves examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to verify compliance with established standards and regulations of the Institution of Internal Auditors (The IIA). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management and distribution processes within the automotive or manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and distribution processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify non-value-added time being spent by operators on the floor, inefficiencies in both productivity and accuracy within software solutions, and opportunities for automation improvement.
- Review and analyze inventory records, distribution reports, and other documentation to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement audit plans and schedules.
- Verify the accuracy of inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with warehouse and distribution staff to ensure proper inventory handling and storage practices.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans in compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA).
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for inventory and distribution management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in Internal Auditing, specifically working in inventory management, logistics, or distribution, within the automotive or manufacturing environments.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and distribution processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Experience using Oracle E-Business Suite Audit Trail (Oracle EBS), TeamMate, AuditBoard, or related system experience required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel.
