Job Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst aids in the design, development, and implementation of a robust and sustainable analytical solution to drive revenue cycle results across the health system. Develops reporting on key performance indicators and dashboard summaries to keep revenue cycle and executive leadership informed on the performance of the revenue cycle and accounts receivable departments. Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with all departments and vendor partners to assist in compliant and appropriate business practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to revenue cycle management, to include, but not limited to, patient access and registration, collections and reimbursement, patient customer service, business development, reporting and analytics.
- Aid in development and continued updating of revenue cycle analytical tools and reports, to include captive and compelling visualizations to illustrate trends and performance.
- Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to internal customers; properly escalate unresolved queries to leadership.
- Understand complex revenue cycle, clinical, and operational practices to ensure data is accurate and fulfills the departmental needs.
- Generate and prepare ad hoc and monthly analytic reports.
- Collaborate with leadership on revenue cycle work flow optimization to improve reimbursement.
- Develop specifications and automated KPI’s for monitoring in process metrics
- Continuously evaluate ongoing performance monitoring tools and reports to determine future support needs of the revenue cycle.
- Participate in process improvement meetings to develop solutions for inefficiencies.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Business Administration, or similar area
- 3 years of revenue cycle processes and large data set analytics and systems (SQL, Excel, Access, etc.) is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Problem solving/analytical skills to asses operational needs in management
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to foresee projects from start to finish
