About the Job:
The purpose of this position is to support the Head of Group Accounting (HOGA) in accurately recording the financial activity of their responsible Region to enable the Management of Icomera to make timely strategic decisions. It is also to ensure that all regulatory deadlines relating to Annual Reporting and Tax are adhered to and in keeping with the Accounting regulations of the region and of the Group. This is achieved by monitoring and supporting the Accounting team where required, ensuring processes are efficient, well documented and followed by the teams.
The role is authorised to:
- Approve Bank payments
- Monitor the Cash position for responsible region alongside the Regional Financial Controller (RFC) for the region and provide monthly report to HOGA
- Ensure Accounting is in line with Regional and Group legislation
- Monitor and suggest improvements for Accounting processes to ensure efficiencies
- Liaise with external stakeholders where required (e.g. Accountants/Auditors/Customers/Vendors)
- Manage the Regional Accounting team
Key Duties
- Ensure tasks required of Accounting team are being performed and support where required
- Responsible for ensuring month end process runs smoothly and sign off all Balance Sheet reconciliations, notifying the HOGA and RFC of any anomalies
- Produce a monthly Cashflow report in collaboration with RFC
- Regularly monitor Bank balances
- Monitor regulatory due dates ensuring all deadlines are met
- Support RFC in Budget/Forecast process where required
- Liaise with external Accountants (where applicable) in producing the Annual Report
- Liaise with external Auditors and Tax advisors in collaboration with the RFC for the Annual Reporting requirements
Who You Are:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Is fluent in writing and speaking English
- Can communicate well with different stakeholders across the whole organisation
- Professional manner and attitude
- Good at multitasking and managing processes in a fluid business-driven environment
- UK – ACCA/ACA Qualified with at least 3 years post qualification experience
- MS Office experience required, proficient with excel
- Experience in SAP preferred
