Job Description:
The Manager role will join our systems finance team during an exciting time as we embark on a large subledger replacement project. The individual will be an active owner and contributor of various accounting/finance projects to investigate challenging current financial operational pain points through system research, as well as partnering with varying levels of internal cross functional business stakeholders. The new team member will be a self-starter who looks forward to solving puzzles, analyzing data, and recommending strategic system operational process improvements. In addition, this role will work closely with the IT business support team to ensure consistent communication and a positive internal customer experience to all system users for current production open tickets.
The individual must be extremely organized, customer focused, inquisitive, detailed, and have an accounting background to understand impact to financial statements. This role is highly visible as it will have the unique responsibility of working closely with our cross divisional NBCU Finance family (Film, TV Networks, Peacock, and Production studios), as well as exposure to several global financial and technology leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become Finance support superuser for all Global TVD Financial systems (GTM, SAFE, CAFÉ, ARMR, MicroStrategy, JIRA, and SAP). Develop and maintain close relationship with all technology system leads.
- Partner with Operations, Revenue Assurance, and Controllership teams to understand Global TVD end to end scenarios for all deal types.
- Provide recommendations for workaround solutions for open issues during the sunset period of the current system, to reduce wholesale logic enhancements prior to moving to the future target system.
- Support Finance team through ownership of data management updates of various systems which includes, but is not limited to, foreign currency rate uploads and content title management.
- Serve as member of the project team and assist in the exploration, requirements gathering, reconciliation / data-conversion, and testing phases of the future state Order to Cash system implementation.
- Support project team with data migration strategy.
- Continuously document challenging pain points throughout current tickets process to help with scenarios for future state testing.
- Ad hoc special projects as needed.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years concentrated in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Must have advanced level MS Excel experience
- Minimum 2 years in revenue recognition accounting
