About the role…
As a member of the o9 industry strategy team, you will drive industry strategy, build and execute integrated industry plans to support awareness, demand generation, pipeline acceleration, sales enablement, and deliver product content into all critical lead generation vehicles (Web, PR, advertising, online, direct marketing, events, trade shows, etc.) related to the given industry portfolio. You will own one of our four industry verticals (retail, brand manufacturing, supply manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing) and work closely with other departments and business stakeholders like sales, business development, senior executives, presales and others as necessary in a cross-functional manner. You oversee your vertical’s top of funnel activities all the way to closure by coaching sales team members and holding funnel priority meetings and act as industry SME in front of prospective clients.
What you’ll do for us…
- Subject Matter Expert for one of our four industry verticals, driving differentiated messaging and value propositions for implementing Supply Chain and Integrated Business Planning solutions.
- Responsible for creating industry-specific content such as whitepapers, blogs, POV and value messaging to drive growth in specific industries in partnership with marketing and business development team members.
- Work with o9 product managers and sales teams to determine strategic goals and route to market; and translate into integrated programs supporting industry growth.
- Strongly align with business stakeholders for understanding and supporting business objectives, demand management and deliver strategic plans for marketing and projection contributions.
- Define industry segmentation (Whales, Elephants, Others) and execute pursuit models for each segment.
- Train Business Development, Industry Sales, Presales etc. on industry messaging, use cases, and other valuable insights that may benefit lead conversion.
- Guide product management teams in the development of industry templates.
- Participate in industry trade shows, webinars, round tables to spread o9 brand in the industry vertical.
- Develop industry best practices, deployment methodologies, and critical success factors.
- Establish relationships with lead Partners for industry practice, including McKinsey, BCG, EY, Deloitte, Accenture, Genpact, etc.
What you’ll have…
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree or MBA or commensurate experience required.
- 10-12 years experience with a proven track record of top performance and leadership/consulting experience.
- Relevant experience including sales and marketing planning, program management, lead generation, program/campaign development and roll out preferably in business and technology solutions for enterprise software industry.
- Industry experience in a planning function within supply chain planning and/or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is a plus.
- Communications knowledge with commensurate experience in marketing positions.
- Ability and experience in understanding market landscape, business priorities and route-to-market to develop and manage marketing plans to deliver on goals for high growth solutions.
- Experience in marketing or implementing enterprise application software products and/or services, specifically in Supply Chain Management, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Performance Management knowledge.
- Works effectively in a matrix environment with virtual teams of high-level professionals.
- Passionate about creative ideas and bringing customer-centric innovation to marketing programs for superior customer experience and higher impact.
- Strong communication skills, marketing communications programs, and project management experience.
